Giving Opportunities

B’nai Vail has thrived in Vail since 1977 because of the dedication and generosity of our community who care about continuing the history, tradition and culture of Judaism and its values. The following opportunities represent ways you can contribute toward strengthening B’Nai Vail and its cherished programs.

Donations to the General Fund and Sponsorship of an event can be arranged through our Executive Director, Jeanne Whitney at [email protected]

General Fund Donations

Support for our congregation can be envisioned through various means and can be made by honoring a loved one or a special occasion, in loving memory of someone you hold dear, or in support during difficult times.

Pillar Membership Dues that go above and beyond the basic membership:

Double Diamond $10,000

Black Diamond $7,500

Diamond $5,000
Pearl $3,600
Emerald $2,500
Ruby $1,800
Sapphire $1,300

Capital Campaign Gift

B’nai Vail conducts a capital campaign to support the ongoing programs and general operating costs. Gifts can be made in a single payment or amortized over a five or ten year period.

Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund

The Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund is under the control of the Rabbi but is a fund of the synagogue. These funds are used to help needy congregants and other individuals, to pay for synagogue events that are not directly funded, to cover the Rabbi’s expenses when he travels to or visits with congregants, to cover honoraria for guests, payment for attendance at community events or lectures, and purchase of necessary items for worship.

Sponsorship of Specific Events and Projects

We offer a variety of different events for our members and community. Each program requires funding beyond the general synagogue budget. Many sponsorships allow us to bring down the price of events so that they are more affordable to our members, while others underwrite the entire event. Please consider this opportunity to support our unique programs!
