Jeanne Whitney has been the B’nai Vail Administrator since 2009 and the Executive Director since 2014. She brings many years of diverse office management experience to her varying roles at B’nai Vail. She holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and spent 6 years in the Navy Reserves. Jeanne moved to Vail in 1990 and has managed inventory for a group of high end eyewear stores and was the office manager for a custom residential architecture firm.
Originally from the Northshore of Massachusetts, Jeanne enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with B’nai Vail members, families and guests from all over the country as well as the tight-knit environment of the Vail Interfaith Chapel offices. She loves to talk with people and she is always curious about how they ended up in the Vail Valley and what keeps them here.
Jeanne is an avid reader and traveler who doesn’t ski enough anymore but enjoys hiking with her “significant other”of 30 years, Scott Morrison as well as spending time with her mother who lives with them.

Erika Buttner, Ernest Scheller III BBYO Co-Director
Erika moved to the Vail Valley in October of 2005, from her hometown of Littleton, Colorado. Vail was a natural fit for her, as she attended college in Gunnison, Colorado, a small mountain town in southwest Colorado. After obtaining a degree in history she moved back to Littleton for a short time prior to her move to Vail. Once in the valley, Erika sought out the Jewish community to find a sense of home. The B’nai Vail community has welcomed her with open arms, especially by supporting her B’nai Mitzvah in May of 2013.
She joined the B’nai Vail Board in 2014, and volunteered to put together a Jewish Youth Group. Being involved in BBYO as a teen, it was a no brainer to go in that direction. Ernest Scheller III BBYO #5402 has been going strong since April 2015 and is constantly gaining new members and having fun!
When Erika is not hanging out with the Jewish teens, or working at the Beaver Creek Club, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Allen, and their dog Dexter, as well as snowboarding, snowshoeing, biking, and watching the American Pastime – Baseball, especially the Colorado Rockies. Erika and Allen welcomed their first child in May 2016!
